Mark S. Lucier, D.M.D.
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
For the past eight years Dr. Mark has been providing his patients with the highest standard of care. He grew up in Taunton, Massachusetts, the eldest of three boys. Having graduated from Taunton High School, he enrolled at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. Having attained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Art History, he was selected to matriculate to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Having graduated in 2003, he chose pediatric dentistry as a specialty and was selected to attend Lutheran Medical center's newest site in providence, Rhode Island. As one of the programs first two residents, he served as Chief Resident his second year and after completing the program was offered a teaching position at the Hospital. Here he remained for an additional two years while Children's Dentistry was starting to take shape. Children's Dentistry opened in March 2007 and he moved to Maine full time in May of that year.
A Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Mark stays up to date with the latest advancements and newest theories and techniques through memberships in many organizations. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and numerous local organizations. These memberships offer continuing education, reading and study clubs, and an opportunity to share materials and techniques with colleagues. Dr. Mark is on staff at both Southern Maine Health Center as well as Wentworth Douglas Hospital.
Dr. Mark is married to Megan and together they have two sons, Jackson and Cooper. In his spare time Dr. Mark is the Chairman of the Sanford School Committee, an avid football fan of the New England Patriots, and enjoys being outdoors snowboarding, camping, and hanging out with his boys.
Megan J. Lucier, D.M.D.
Megan Lucier grew up in West Hartford, CT and then attended the University of Maine in Orono where she earned a BS in Microbiology. Dr. Megan earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2005. She completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she had the opportunity to learn advanced airway skills as well as see primarily pediatric and special needs patients.
Dr. Megan spent three years as a staff dentist for Tufts School of Dental Medicine where she worked at their various facilities treating patients with special needs. She has been in practice for the past nine years. Dr. Megan feels it is important to give back to her community, so she volunteers with Donated Dental Services and the Biddeford Free Clinic.
When not in the office, Dr. Megan enjoys spending time with her two young sons. Their family enjoys everything and anything outdoors-from surfing to camping to snowboarding and everything in between!
